Speaker and stage timer
A stage timer speakers can read from the podium. Set the minutes and open it on a confidence monitor, laptop or TV. With a free account, you start, pause and reset it from your phone.
Start and pause it from your phone
On a live screen, the remote starts, pauses and resets the timer, and every screen showing its link counts down to the same second. Handy when the speaker before runs over.
A stage timer the speaker can actually see
A confidence monitor at the front of the stage, or a laptop on the floor facing the podium, is all it takes. Black digits on yellow read from a distance, and the message at zero tells the speaker to finish without anyone walking on stage.
Running several rooms? Put each room’s timer on its own live screen and control each from your phone. Every screen showing the same link reaches zero at the same second.
Put it on a TV
- Make it above. The preview is exactly what the screen shows.
- Open it on the screen. Press Open fullscreen on that device, or send yourself the link. For a TV with a free account, open ownscreen.com/tv and enter its code on your phone.
- Leave it running. It fits any screen size and asks the screen to stay on.
Questions
- When does the timer start?
- On a plain link, when the page opens: reload it and it starts over. On a live screen, you start it from the remote.
- What happens at zero?
- The screen shows your message, such as “Time’s up!”.
- Can I show the agenda as well?
- Yes. In the editor, split the message into slides with || and put the timer on one of them.
