White screen
A plain color that fills the whole screen: pick white, black, pink, red or another shade and open it fullscreen on any TV, monitor or projector. No text, nothing to install.
One color, edge to edge
A white screen is a soft light for photos and video, a surface to trace on, a quick way to check a display for dust and dead pixels, or simply a way to blank a screen. Open it fullscreen and the color fills the whole display, edge to edge.
The color is part of the link, so it opens the same on a TV, a phone or a laptop, and the page asks the screen to stay awake. Nothing is stored on our servers and no account is needed. A free link shows a small ownscreen.com at the bottom; a live screen shows the color alone. Black, pink, red, green, blue, yellow, gray and a warm white are one pick away, and the editor takes any color you like.
Put it on a TV
- Make it above. The preview is exactly what the screen shows.
- Open it on the screen. Press Open fullscreen on that device, or send yourself the link. For a TV with an account, open ownscreen.com/tv and enter its code on your phone.
- Leave it running. It fits any screen size and asks the screen to stay on.
Questions
- What do people use a white screen for?
- As a soft light for photos and video, a bright surface to trace on, a way to inspect a display up close, or a plain backdrop instead of whatever was on the screen.
- How do I make it full screen?
- Press Open fullscreen, or Start and connect the TV or phone. On a computer, F11 usually goes fullscreen and hides the browser bars.
- Does it stay on all night?
- The page asks the screen to stay awake, but the TV or computer’s own sleep settings still apply. Turn those off for a long-running screen.
