Shot clock
A big shot clock for the basketball court, on any TV, tablet or laptop: 24, 30, 35 or 14 seconds in digits the whole gym can read. Free, with no app.
A second screen for the shot clock
A shot clock is the countdown a team has to take a shot. Put this page on a phone, tablet or laptop beside the scoreboard, or on its own TV, and the digits fill the screen. The default is 24 seconds; 30 and 35 seconds suit some competitions, and 14 seconds is the reset after an offensive rebound.
Open the link and it starts. Tap or click the screen, or press Space, to pause and resume it; R puts it back to the full length and waits. At zero it shows your message, “Shot clock” by default. It is a plain timer, so it does not reset itself when a shot hits the rim; reset it with R.

Questions
- What length should I use?
- Most basketball uses 24 seconds. The page also offers 30 and 35 seconds for other competitions and 14 seconds for a reset after an offensive rebound. Pick the length above and open the link.
- How do I pause and reset it?
- It starts when the page opens. Tap or click the screen, or press Space, to pause and resume; R sets it back to the full length and waits. On a live screen the phone remote has Start, Pause and Reset.
- Can I use it beside a scoreboard?
- Yes. Open this page on a second screen, phone or laptop next to the scoreboard. It is a separate display, so it starts and resets on its own when you open the link or press R.
