OwnScreen

Random number generator

Draw a number on the big screen for a class, a raffle or a game. Set the range, tap, and the number lands large enough for the whole room to read.

Free, no account needed. The link holds the whole sign.

Draw from your phone

Save the number draw as a live screen and tap Draw on your phone while the number shows on the TV. Every screen showing the link lands on the same number at the same moment. A plain fullscreen link needs no account: tap, click or press Space to draw.

One number the whole room can see

Teachers use it to call a number for a turn, a group or a question. Raffles and quiz nights use it to pick a ticket in front of everyone. The number lands big, so nobody has to crowd around a phone to read it.

The range stays in the link: the default is 1-100, the presets switch to 1-10 or 1-1000, and you can type any range up to 10,000 numbers. With repeats allowed, each draw is independent, like rolling a die. With repeats off, every number comes up once before the range starts again. The draw runs in your browser, so nothing is stored on our servers.

Put it on a TV

  1. Make it above. The preview is exactly what the screen shows.
  2. Open it on the screen. Press Open fullscreen on that device, or send yourself the link. For a TV with an account, open ownscreen.com/tv and enter its code on your phone.
  3. Leave it running. It fits any screen size and asks the screen to stay on.

Questions

How do I pick a random number from 1 to 100?
The default range is 1-100. Open the fullscreen link, then tap, click or press Space; each draw lands on one number. Type a different smallest and largest number, or use the 1-10 and 1-1000 presets.
Can the same number come up twice?
Yes, with Repeats allowed, like rolling a die. Choose No repeats and each number appears once before the range starts again, which suits a raffle or handing out turns.
How many numbers can it draw from?
Any range from 0 to 9999, so up to 10,000 numbers. It is also a random number picker for a class or a game; the range travels in the link, so you can bookmark it and open it again.
