Score, period and clock on one screen
A hockey game has three periods. NHL periods are 20 minutes, and minor and recreational leagues often play shorter ones, so set the minutes to suit your league. The score, the period and the time left sit on one screen the whole rink can read.
Open it fullscreen and the clock starts. A tap pauses and resumes it, and R sets it back to the full period and waits for the next tap. For the next period, choose it above and open the screen again. Press Start to run it on the stage, where the arrow keys change the score. It does not track penalties or shots.
Put it on a TV
- Make it above. The preview is exactly what the screen shows.
- Open it on the screen. Press Open fullscreen on that device, or send yourself the link. For a TV with an account, open ownscreen.com/tv and enter its code on your phone.
- Leave it running. It fits any screen size and asks the screen to stay on.
Questions
- How do I change the score?
- Press Start to run the scoreboard on the stage: the up and down arrows change the home team’s score, and with Shift held the visitors’. With a free trial you add goals from your phone instead.
- Can I stop the clock?
- Yes. Tap or click the screen, or press Space, to pause and resume it; R sets it back to the full period and waits. When it reaches zero it stays at zero, and the score stays on screen.
- Is it for ice hockey or field hockey?
- It is set up for ice hockey, with three periods and overtime. It works for ball hockey or field hockey too: set the minutes and type what you like in place of the period names in the editor.
