20 minute timer
A big fullscreen countdown for a TV, projector or laptop. Use it for a task block or a short exam section.
Run it from your phone
On a live screen the remote on your phone starts, pauses and resets the timer, and every screen showing the link counts down to the same second. On a plain fullscreen link there is nothing to set up: click, tap or press Space to pause and resume, and R to reset it.
A timer the whole room can read
Big digits fill a TV, projector or laptop screen, so everyone in the room reads the same time as you do. Open the link fullscreen and the countdown starts; a plain link needs no account, and the text, the length and the colors all live in the link.
These are the lengths people ask for most, from 30 seconds to an hour. Each page opens with its own length: the Length field switches to another one, and the link that follows carries it, so a length you use often can be bookmarked and opened again.

Put it on a TV
- Make it above. The preview is exactly what the screen shows.
- Open it on the screen. Press Open fullscreen on that device, or send yourself the link. For a TV with an account, open ownscreen.com/tv and enter its code on your phone.
- Leave it running. It fits any screen size and asks the screen to stay on.
Questions
- How do I start and pause it?
- Open the fullscreen link and the countdown starts right away. Click, tap or press Space (or the OK button on a TV remote) to pause, and again to carry on. R puts it back to the full length and waits there, and a timer that has already finished starts its full length again on one press.
- Does it beep when the time is up?
- Not yet: there is no alarm sound. At zero the digits are replaced by your message, such as “Time’s up!”, and the screen keeps showing it.
- Can I put it on a classroom or meeting TV from my phone?
- Yes, with a live screen: open its link on the TV, then start, pause and reset the timer from the remote on your phone. Every screen showing that link stops and starts together.
